Exide Industries Ltd: Q3 FY 2018-19 Key Numbers

Exide Industries Ltd, a battery manufacturing firm in India, has posted its Q3 FY 18-19 numbers today evening. The company has posted mixed set of numbers for the quarter.

Company’s revenue from operations stood at INR 2496.84 Cr for the quarter ended 31st December 2018 versus INR 2278.29 Cr same period last year, reporting 9.59% increase YoY basis. The same was stood at INR 2720.35 Cr for the second quarter, registering 8.20% dip quarter-on-quarter basis.

The Company’s net profit after tax (PAT) reported at INR 155.04 Cr for Q3 FY 2018-19 as against INR 154.27 Cr for Q3 last year, showing subdued growth year-on-year basis. Net Profit for the second quarter stood at INR 268.41 Cr, showing 42.24% decrease QoQ basis.

Factories: Exide Industries has 9 factories located all over India out of which 7 factories are dedicated to batteries manufacturing and the other 2 factories manufacture Home UPS Systems. The company has a R&D facility at Kolkata, West Bengal.

Subsidiaries: Exide has subsidiaries in the UK, Singapore and Sri Lanka and its exports span 45 countries across 6 continents.

The stock ended INR 13.60 or 1.85% higher to INR 747.72 when the market closed on Friday! During Q3 FY 2018-19, the share prices of Exide Industries has made a low of INR 237 and high of INR 274
