- Incorporated in the year 1970, Bharat Dynamics Limited is Hyderabad based wholly-owned Government of India Company engaged in the manufacture of Surface to Air missiles (SAMs), Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs), countermeasures, launchers, underwater weapons, and test equipment. Bharat Dynamics Limited is amongst a few industries in the world having capabilities to produce state-of-the-art guided weapon systems.
- The Company is poised to enter new avenues of manufacturing, covering a wide range of weapon systems such as Air Defence Systems, Heavy Weight Torpedoes, Air-to-Air Missiles etc., making it a world-class defence equipment manufacturer.
- Bharat Dynamics Limited has also entered into the area of refurbishment and life extension of missiles.

Bharat Dynamic has three manufacturing facilities located in Bhanur, Hyderabad, and Vishakhapatnam. All have been certified with ISO: 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems.

Revenues
Bharat Dynamics shows steady revenue growth in recent years. Top-line has been increasing regularly for the last 3 years and jumped from INR 3253 Cr in FY 2015 to INR 5198 Cr for the period ended FY 2017.
Profits
Though the company has shown steady growth in revenue, the company fails to register growth in profits in these 3 years. Starting from INR 433.55 Cr of profits in FY 2015, the company’s earnings stood at INR 490.32 Cr for the period ended FY 2017.
