Infra Sector: Q3 ( Oct – Dec ’16 ) Numbers and Analysis

INFRA Sector:

Q3 was disappointing for the Infra sector.

The challenging business conditions continue to add pressure on the sector.

As far as numbers are concern, the revenues of the companies were down in the range of 10% to 24%, while profits were up in the range of 14% to 117%.

Market leader Larsen and Toubro has posted 16% increase in profits and the revenues were almost flat.

The star performer in the sector for the quarter ended 31 December 2016 were “Adani Ports” and “Sadbhav Engineering” where the whereas foreign-based firms “Siemens” and “ABB” were shown steady growth where the companies profit up by 44% and 14% respectively.
